Motivate yourself to take photos every day!
Part Two
Last time I talked about which camera to buy for a beginner. I hope I was able to help you with that and that you are already taking photos. Today, however, I want to talk about how to motivate yourself, how to find subjects and how to keep practising.
As with all projects, the most important thing is to keep your eye on the prize. If you are a full-time photographer, you will be faced with this every day. For a hobby photographer, this is not the case. After the initial: “Wow, I have a great camera”, this enthusiasm quickly fades — without a goal.
In the beginning, you should be clear about why you want to take pictures and where you want to go. Do you want to start your own business, just show off some great pictures or get a foothold as an artist?
A little tip: you can’t do everything at once, otherwise you’ll lose yourself!
In my case, I’ve been interested in animals and photography since I was little. Of course, I have also photographed sheep, the night sky, portraits and nudes. But, as I said, I’m a hobby photographer who makes money on the side. So I have specialised in animals. And no, not wild animals, but pets. Horses, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, etc.
So I had a clear goal in mind right from the start!
